Welcoming 2015

29 December 2014
So we arrived at Singapore in the evening.
We went to our hotel to check-in and put our stuff, but then...
we found out that our room is so small.
Everyone was complaining. Lol
It was one bed room with 2 single beds and 1 extra bed for 6 people.
Can you imagine that?
....
We head out for dinner.
We walked to the salted chicken place that Peter recommends.
But then, it was closed.
So we went to ION's foodcourt instead.
And as always, i had the fried carrot cake :9
One of my favourite dishes in Singapore.
It was quite late already when we finished our food.
So we didn't really get to shop.

30 December 2014
For your information, the 6 of us managed to sleep in the one room.
However, we finally moved to other hotel,
as it would be quite tiring if we keep sleeping like that for the rest of the nights.
The not-so-cheap-anymore $1+ ice cream.
We went back to the salted chicken restaurant and had our extremely late lunch.

After lunch, we went shoppinggggg ;D
We then walked pass through this cookies place and the smell was very inviting.
Who doesn't love the smell of freshly baked cookies?
So we gave it a try.
I like how the cookie isn't very sweet but the ice cream is bad.
At night, i guess it was around 10 or 11 pm, the kids were hungry but the parents weren't :p
So we went to this chicken rice shop called Boon Tong Kee,
which is located near Spize, River valley.
The rice itself is amazing. Perfectly cooked.
And the chicken? Scrumptious.
The veges and ribs? Definitely a yes.
But this one below, i don't really like it.
I can't even remember what it is.

31 December 2014 - The Countdown
Because i was starving ...
me and Roni went out to have our lunch first.
We went to Tonkatsu Bistro by Ma Maison at Mandarin Gallery.
I heard good reviews on this place and they are right!
The tonkatsu is da bomb!
Juicy and not oily at all. Deep fried to perfection!

There's this dessert pop-up store at ION
and i was tempted to try one of the eclairs.
Me and sweets? Inseparable.
We are like magnets of different poles :p
So we tried the popcorn one and guess what?
it is the best eclair i've ever eaten.
The creme inside is absolutely delicious.
Although it's a bit too sweet with the caramel popcorn and chocolate glaze,
the combination of everything is just perfect.
Although it costs S$10, which is quite pricey if you converted to rupiah,
i swear every cents you spend on this are worth it.

And then there's this ice cream sandwich.
Despite the fact that it's also quite pricey (compare to the S$1 ice cream),
this thing is definitely a winner, too.
Worth all your calories.
We then had our new year's eve dinner at Brotzeit, Orchardgetaway.
We then had the countdown at Hotel Jen Orchardgetaway's rooftop swimming pool.
We wanted to get to Marina Bay, but we knew it was a bit too late for us to go
and must be very crowded over there.
The countdown wasn't very festive, as we couldn't really see the fireworks.
From where i stood, the fireworks were blocked by taller people and trees.
However, i still very much appreciate that i could spend it with the people i love.
My boyfriend and his family :)
He insisted to carry me for the sake of instagram. LOL
I know it has been more than 2 weeks since new year,
but
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE WHO'S READING THIS :)
CHEERS TO 2015!
If you have anything that you haven't achieved last year,
make it happen this year.
15 is my favourite number as it's my birthday date.
So i hope that this year will be an amazing one and better than 2014.
and i hope everyone will have an amazing one also.

1 January 2015 - A brand new year.
Roni and his family had a morning flight and my flight was around 3 pm.
So we went to the airport together.
So here's a brand new day in a brand new year.
CHEERS!
