Welcoming 2015

29 December 2014
So we arrived at Singapore in the evening.
We went to our hotel to check-in and put our stuff, but then...
we found out that our room is so small.
Everyone was complaining. Lol
It was one bed room with 2 single beds and 1 extra bed for 6 people.
Can you imagine that?
....
We head out for dinner.
We walked to the salted chicken place that Peter recommends.
But then, it was closed.
So we went to ION's foodcourt instead.
And as always, i had the fried carrot cake :9
One of my favourite dishes in Singapore.
It was quite late already when we finished our food.
So we didn't really get to shop.

30 December 2014
For your information, the 6 of us managed to sleep in the one room.
However, we finally moved to other hotel,
as it would be quite tiring if we keep sleeping like that for the rest of the nights.
The not-so-cheap-anymore $1+ ice cream.
We went back to the salted chicken restaurant and had our extremely late lunch.

After lunch, we went shoppinggggg ;D
We then walked pass through this cookies place and the smell was very inviting.
Who doesn't love the smell of freshly baked cookies?
So we gave it a try.
I like how the cookie isn't very sweet but the ice cream is bad.
At night, i guess it was around 10 or 11 pm, the kids were hungry but the parents weren't :p
So we went to this chicken rice shop called Boon Tong Kee,
which is located near Spize, River valley.
The rice itself is amazing. Perfectly cooked.
And the chicken? Scrumptious.
The veges and ribs? Definitely a yes.
But this one below, i don't really like it.
I can't even remember what it is.

31 December 2014 - The Countdown
Because i was starving ...
me and Roni went out to have our lunch first.
We went to Tonkatsu Bistro by Ma Maison at Mandarin Gallery.
I heard good reviews on this place and they are right!
The tonkatsu is da bomb!
Juicy and not oily at all. Deep fried to perfection!

There's this dessert pop-up store at ION
and i was tempted to try one of the eclairs.
Me and sweets? Inseparable.
We are like magnets of different poles :p
So we tried the popcorn one and guess what?
it is the best eclair i've ever eaten.
The creme inside is absolutely delicious.
Although it's a bit too sweet with the caramel popcorn and chocolate glaze,
the combination of everything is just perfect.
Although it costs S$10, which is quite pricey if you converted to rupiah,
i swear every cents you spend on this are worth it.

And then there's this ice cream sandwich.
Despite the fact that it's also quite pricey (compare to the S$1 ice cream),
this thing is definitely a winner, too.
Worth all your calories.
We then had our new year's eve dinner at Brotzeit, Orchardgetaway.
We then had the countdown at Hotel Jen Orchardgetaway's rooftop swimming pool.
We wanted to get to Marina Bay, but we knew it was a bit too late for us to go
and must be very crowded over there.
The countdown wasn't very festive, as we couldn't really see the fireworks.
From where i stood, the fireworks were blocked by taller people and trees.
However, i still very much appreciate that i could spend it with the people i love.
My boyfriend and his family :)
He insisted to carry me for the sake of instagram. LOL
I know it has been more than 2 weeks since new year,
but
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE WHO'S READING THIS :)
CHEERS TO 2015!
If you have anything that you haven't achieved last year,
make it happen this year.
15 is my favourite number as it's my birthday date.
So i hope that this year will be an amazing one and better than 2014.
and i hope everyone will have an amazing one also.

1 January 2015 - A brand new year.
Roni and his family had a morning flight and my flight was around 3 pm.
So we went to the airport together.
So here's a brand new day in a brand new year.
CHEERS!

Bangkok Countinues (Part 2)

27 December 2014
Nothing much today. We had breakfast at the hotel,
and i guess we skipped lunch. (i can't remember...)
Muffins sold when we walked across the malls from Central smth to Central Embassy.
We went to Central Embassy and finally bought Peter his birthday gift.

Guess who's car is it?? :p
At night, we went to this Thai restaurant i found on the internet.
Ban Khun Mae.
The food is quite delicious but the pad thai is bad.

Don't order the Pad Thai. SO NOT RECOMENDED.
So after dinner, we decided to meet up with Vivi Cen and all, and Chelci&Tony.
We wanted to spend the night going to the club.
But then... Funny story.
First, we wanted to go to this club which has the same name as a massage place.
So the taxi driver was confused.
Then, after he knows the place, he brought us there.
It was closed.
Then, Tony found this club on the internet.
We went to that place, and turns out to be empty and there was only a live band.
Plus, the place is ... i don't know how to describe it. it's worse than just 'poor'.
Lastly, we went to this place which is recommended by a friend.
I can't remember the club's name.
The place is cool, unfortunately, some of us didn't bring IC.
So we couldn't get in.
Another bad luck is it was raining heavily when we wanted to go to the club.
the rain stopped when we cancelled the plan to go in.
Was it a sign?
We went back to our hotel and realize that there are some underground clubs in Intercontinental hotel.
So we checked it out.
Guess what? They need to see IC also.
So we ended up going back to our room.
Vivi Cen and others went back to their hotel;
Peter and his parents went back to their room;
The remains, went to our room and we ordered beers (SINGHA) and a bottle of wine.
We played games and the loser drink as much as what we've decided.
This was the best part of the trip. I swear i laughed until my stomach hurts.
Chelci&Tony went back to their hotel, which is just the opposite of ours, around 4 am.
And i guess we slept around 5 am?
This is definitely a night to remember! CHEERS!

28 December 2014

So me and Roni woke up around 10 am and went down to have our breakfast.
we were extremely sleepy but i was hungry.
So he couldn't say no :p

So after breakfast and baths, me and Nikita went to the nearby Four Faces Buddha place.
I was actually accompanying her. She prays, so i pray.
Anyways, we went to Central Embassy again today.
We just love the ambience there.
Not so crowded and the place feels clean.
We walked across this coconut ice cream on our way to Central Embassy.
Taste 2/10.
I was being pulled by the breads and pastries by PAUL.
I couldn't resist so Roni and I decided to sit down and indulge for a while.
Since we had nothing to shop and we were waiting for his parents shopping.

10 out of 10 !!! ME LIKEY ;D
We head over to Ban Khun Mae again for dinner because everyone loves the food.

This wasn't all. I swear.

29 December 2014. Happy Birthday Peter ;D
